The DAWNS (Directly Assisting Women Newly Sober) House mentoring program is unique on a number of fronts: 1) we feature live-in mentor positions so all our mentees have essentially 24-hour access to their services, 2) our mentors are all previous DAWNS House participants so there is a lot of shared experience which brings greater credibility and trust, and 3) all our mentors are specially trained and certified (THW/CRM through Daystar) which has led to a proven track record of success in terms of participants/mentees finding employment while a resident and finding housing after leaving DAWNS House.
DAWNS House has very good relationships with and works closely with many agencies to provide the best combined services to fit our clients’ needs. Some of these agencies/organizations include: Best Care Treatment Services, Bend Treatment Services (outsourcing Suboxone/Methadone), Redmond Brooks/Klamath Falls detox, Pfeifer & Associates, Rimrock Trails Treatment Services, Deschutes County Health Services, Bend Stabilization Center, NeighborImpact, HUD, Bethlehem Inn Shelter, REACH, Thrive Central Oregon, Saving Grace, Pacific Source, St Charles Health System, Deschutes County Parole & Probation, many property management company’s (transition services), Latino Community Association, DHS, and CPS.
