The University of Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center (WYSAC) has provided data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to adult binge drinking across numerous states. The goal of Oregon’s SPF, SIG, and PFS was to decrease alcohol misuse among youth and young adults, giving us specific experience in the areas needed for this project. We created a needs assessment workbook, and we worked with Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson counties, and the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs on their SPF, SIG, and PFS projects. We also completed two rounds of a survey of young adults across Oregon as part of these evaluations. Recently, we completed three rounds of a young adult survey in Wyoming, capturing consumption and risk factor data among 18-29 year-olds since 2016. In addition, we have provided technical assistance across multiple states on using needs assessment data to choose strategies targeting adult binge drinking.
